Terms and Conditions and Customer Contract

 

Laid out below are the Terms and Conditions for all the electrical works carried out by Green Electricians. Please take the time to read the following information and sign to indicate your agreement with the Customer Contract.   1. Installation of Electrical Works

 

  1. All electrical installations carried out by Green Electricians will comply with BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations and any/all of the latest amendments at the date of installation;
  2. When adapting an existing circuit, Green Electricians will quote on the assumption that the existing circuitry is in good and safe condition. If this is found not to be the case, Green Electricians will notify the customer and additional costs will occur in order to correct the electrical circuitry;
  3. Certification of electrical installations will only cover the works which have been carried out by Green Electricians;
  4. When chasing out walls, no filling or making good will be done, unless agreed by the customer at the time of the quotation;
  5. Whilst Green Electricians endeavour not to damage chipboard flooring when running cables, due to the nature of the material, chipboard can very difficult to remove and replace in the same condition. Should chipboard flooring be damaged beyond repair, the customer  will be notified to discuss potential further costs for installing replacement flooring;
  6. Green Electricians will always clear up after the completed works; however there is a likelihood of a significant increase of dust in the work area. Although appropriate precautionary measures will be taken, any further cleaning costs are not the responsibility of Green Electricians;
  7. The lifting and refitting of carpets will be carried out with all due care and attention, although a professional carpet fitter may be required to achieve an immaculate finish.

 

  1. Installations of New Consumer Units (Fuse Boxes)

 

  1. All existing and new circuitry will need to be fully tested, to meet the current building regulations;
  2. Any defects found upon testing will need to be rectified before that particular circuit is made live. The customer will be notified at a suitable interval and further costs may incur;
  3. Main extraneous earth bonding to gas, water or oil service pipes is commonly undersized or inexistent. The installation or adaptation of earth bonding is not included in the original quote; however should such services be required additional costs will be incurred, as this is mandatory to comply with health and safety regulations.

 

  1. Pricing

 

  1. Prices are estimated on access to the work site from 06:00 – 18:00, Monday - Saturday. Works carried out outside of this time period may incur an additional charge;
  2. Additional works not included in the original quotation, will be charged at a set rate in addition to the costs of materials;
  3. Quotations are valid for 28 days from the date of issue.

 

  1. Warranty

 

  1. Most electrical products come with a 12 Month Warranty which Green Electricians will happily honour for the replacement of any faulty parts, however additional labour costs may apply;
  2. Any damage to the electrical installation by a third party is the responsibility of the customer. Additional costs to repair the damage will be charged to the customer.

 

  1. Payment

 

  1. Payment is accepted by cash or direct bank transfer;
  2. If a job requires a separate first and second fix, partial payment may be required on completion of a first fix;
  3. For larger jobs, Green Electricians may require a non-refundable deposit before works begin;
  4. Payment is expected within 28 days from the issue of the invoice. Additional costs may incur if the payment is not received within that time period.
